Green Building Certifications

NAHB Green

The National Association of Home Builders Green Building Program evaluates and certifies single- and multi-family buildings according to both performance and sustainability criteria. Like LEED, NAHB Green offers four levels of certification. Points and certification levels are awarded based on site design, resource efficiency, energy efficiency water efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and operational and maintenance ease. Both new construction and gut renovations are eligible for NAHB Green.

After initiating the certification process using NAHB’s Green Scoring Tool, builders can contact BPE, Inc. to complete the process. After passing a rough and final inspection and submitting paperwork, the builder receives the Green Certificate.
